L Taraval Improvement Project Seg B Project Update and Forecast - April 18 - 30, 2022
At approx. 9:30 a.m. April 20, 2022, a non-Muni collision occurred at Taraval St. and 19th Ave. A delivery truck turned onto Taraval from 19th Ave. and made contact with a PG&E pole with a transformer. Electricity is out from 17th to 21st avenues. PG &E is working on restoring service. Taraval St. westbound from 18th to 19th avenues has been shut down and traffic is detoured northbound. Muni Service is rerouting around the area. SFPD is controlling traffic on 19th Ave. between Ulloa and Santiago streets, closed to through traffic for a period. Traffic in both directions is open to traffic.
Although this collision is not related to the L Taraval project, work that was scheduled to take place near the intersection(s) are on pause as PG&E works to make repairs and restore service in the area. The PG&E repairs are expected to take place into the evening hours.
Repairs were completed on April 21, 2022, re-opening the intersection(s), power supply and returning the traffic signal back to normal operations.
