Thank you for your continued interest in the mid-Valencia pilot proposal. Since our last project update in July 2022, the project team has undergone an initial outreach process with stakeholders and merchants to share and receive feedback on our initial design proposal – a two-way center running protected bikeway design, improved layout, along with other pedestrian safety features like intersection daylighting, left turn restrictions, and no right on red turn restriction.
The Valencia Bikeway Improvements Project team is now moving on to the next phase of the project, and we are launching a virtual open house. Like the SFMTA’s in-person project open houses, you will be able to learn more about the project, see the proposed design, and have the opportunity to provide feedback and/or ask questions. Check out the online open house platform for more details.

The open house materials can also be accessed in-person at the locations listed below:
- 16th & Hoff Garage: 42 Hoff St, San Francisco, CA 94110
- Mission Bartlett Garage: 3255 21st St, San Francisco, CA 94110
The Valencia Bikeway Improvements Project Virtual Open House will be live for a two-week period from September 16, 2022 to September 30, 2022. Join us to learn more about the project and share your comments about improving safety along the Valencia corridor.
Next steps: the design proposals will be heard at a joint Public Hearing and the SFMTA Board of Directors meeting in late 2022.
