Street closures and Muni reroutes begin at noon, May 23, 2023
Event Summary
The Castro Theater will be hosting "Heklina: A Memorial (She Would Have Hated This)," along with an outdoor drag performance, indoor memorial service, and an outdoor telecast of the service on Tuesday, May 23. The event begins at 6 p.m. and will require the closure of Castro Street between 18th Street and Market from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. Muni service will reroute around the area.
Street Closures
Beginning at 12 p.m., May 23, Castro Street will be closed between 18th and Market until midnight (12 a.m.), May 24th.
Muni Service Impacts
Muni's 24 Divisadero Route, in both directions, and 35 Eureka Route, in the outbound (southbound) direction only, will have minor reroutes around the area. The F Market & Wharves Line and 33 Ashbury/18th Street Route may experience minor delays in the area of the event, but will operate along their normal routes in both directions.
