Thanks for your interest in the Shotwell/Capp Neighborway Project. We initiated this project in summer 2017, hoping to better understand traffic safety needs for the corridor through public outreach. Simultaneously, the SFMTA began ongoing community conversations with different stakeholders in the Mission District regarding circulation needs and concerns throughout the neighborhood, including a significant planning effort to improve the Valencia Street bike lanes. Due to the ongoing number of projects happening in the neighborhood and staffing constraints, the Shotwell/Capp Neighborway Project has been put on hold.
Although this project is on hold, if you or a neighbor is interested in reducing speeding on your neighborhood street, we encourage community members to submit an application and petition for the Residential Traffic Calming Program. Please note that the completed applications for the 2018-2019 Traffic Calming Programs are due by June 30, 2018.
Again, thank you for your interest in this project. If you're interested in learning more about the Valencia Bikeway Improvements planning project, please visit the project webpage. For more information about ongoing projects happening in the neighborhood, please visit www.sfmta.com.
