The Mayor’s Office launched the Curbside Electric Vehicle Charger Pilot in the summer of 2024 to improve access to on-street electric vehicle (EV) charging. As the first proposed location for this initiative, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) and It’s Electric are introducing a new curbside EV charging station in the Duboce Triangle.
Where: Southwest corner of Hermann and Fillmore - Hermann Street, south side, from 20 to 60 feet west of Fillmore Street.
What’s Happening? A new public EV charging station, with two parking spaces dedicated to on-street EV charging, is proposed to be installed. These chargers will be open for public use and not limited to Residential Permit Parking (RPP) Area S holders.
This project proposes the following elements:
- Legislate two (2) parking spaces for electric vehicle charging
