When the K Ingleside is out of service, we'll normally try to provide you with shuttle buses. Sometimes that can take a while, so here are some alternatives to keep you on the move:

K Ingleside alternative Service Inbound toward downtown

Eastern Ocean Avenue

  • If only subway is closed, K Ingleside outbound to Balboa Park station, then BART
  • 29 Sunset, 43 Masonic, or 49 Mission/Van Ness  eastbound to Balboa Park station, then BART

Western Ocean Avenue

  • If only subway is closed, K Ingleside outbound to Balboa Park station, then BART
  • Walk to Monterey, 23 Monterey or 43 Masonic eastbound to Glen Park or Balboa Park station, then BART
  • Walk to Grafton or Garfield, then 29 Sunset eastbound

West Portal

  • 48 Quintara/24th Street eastbound to 24th/Mission station, then BART
  • 23 Monterey eastbound from Saint Francis Circle to Glen Park station, then BART

Forest Hill station

  • 43 Masonic  or 44 O'Shaughenessy northbound to 9th & Judah, then N Judah eastbound
  • 44 O'Shaughenessy or 52 Excelsior southbound to Glen Park station, then BART

Castro through Embarcadero stations

  • F Market & Wharves eastbound
  • If only KLM lines affected, J Church or N Judah  eastbound from Church & Duboce
  • Inbound 6 Haight/Parnassus or 7 Haight/Noriega east of Haight

K Ingleside Alternative Service Outbound Toward Balboa Park

Embarcadero through Castro stations

  • F Market & Wharves westbound
  • If only KLM lines affected, J Church or N Judah westbound to Church & Duboce
  • 6 Haight/Parnassus or 7 Haight/Noriega east of Van Ness, or walk from Haight

Forest Hill station

  • N Judah to 9th & Judah, then 43 Masonic or 44 O'Shaughenessy southbound
  • BART to Glen Park station, then 44 O'Shaughenessy or 52 Excelsior northbound

West Portal

  • BART to 24th/Mission station, then 48 Quintara/24th Street westbound
  • BART to Glen Park station, then 23 Monterey westbound to Saint Francis Circle 

Western Ocean Avenue

  • If only subway is closed, BART to Balboa Park station, then K Ingleside inbound
  • BART to Glen Park, then 23 Monterey westbound, then walk from Monterey
  • BART to Balboa Park station, then 29 Sunset, walk from Grafton or Garfield

Eastern Ocean Avenue

  • If only subway is closed, BART to Balboa Park station, then K Ingleside inbound
