Construction starting soon
Following the conclusion of the combined Virtual Open House and Engineering Public Hearing held October 13-27, 2021, all public comments received were reviewed and the South Van Ness Avenue Quick-Build Project was subsequently approved by the City Traffic Engineer for implementation.
Pending rain, construction activities are anticipated to begin as early as December 21 and are expected to conclude in January 2022. Access to businesses and residences should not be affected by construction.
Construction activities involve grinding out existing roadway striping, installing new paint along the roadway, installing new signage and implementing updates to traffic signal timing.
