Due to the pandemic, SF Muni operators have lost access to many restaurants and building offices providing restroom facilities along their bus routes.  Bathroom breaks are a human necessity and require advanced planning for our transit operators to ensure they minimize impacts to transit service. 

As we begin to add more transit lines, the SFMTA Operator Task Force found a location on California and 6th Ave where we can install a standalone operator restroom that will service 4 Muni routes (1BX – currently suspended but will come back post COVID,  28 Geary (due to COVID),   28R Geary, and  44 O’Shaughnessy.  Currently, we have 37 standalone operator facilities located throughout San Francisco and Daly City, and we look forward to obtaining your community support.

• Will there be maintenance upkeep?
