The SFMTA Board of Directors provides policy oversight for the safe and efficient transportation of goods and service in San Francisco. This includes the San Francisco Municipal Railway (Muni), automobiles and trucks, taxis, bicycling and walking. The SFMTA Board of Directors also serves as members of the San Francisco Parking Authority.

Our board of directors meetings are usually held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. The agenda for Tuesday's meeting includes presentation and discussions regarding progress on Vision Zero.

Meet the Expert: Van Ness Improvement Project Walking Tour

Wednesday, September 4, 6 p.m.
1400 Van Ness
Nearby Muni Routes: 1, 2, 3, 19, 38, 47 and 49

The Van Ness Improvement Project has shifted traffic and construction zones on Van Ness Avenue so utility work may continue on the opposite side of the street. These changes mark the halfway point of the utility work included in the Van Ness Improvement Project, such as sewer and water main replacement, road base installation and sidewalk replacement. The switch also means that there are sections of the Van Ness corridor which are nearly complete!

Join SFMTA Public Information Officer, Estefani Morales-Zanoletti, and Public Outreach and Engagement Manager Kate McCarthy, on a short walking tour of the Van Ness BRT project. The walk will cover some finished portions of the corridor, as well as point out ongoing work, and other points of interest along the project.

Our Meeting Round-Up feature highlights different SFMTA public meetings that will be held within the coming two weeks. These meetings give you the chance to share your ideas and provide us with helpful feedback. Join us at our next meeting to learn more about SF's changing and complex transportation system.

Those listed above are just a few highlights. You can find a full list of upcoming meetings to keep up to date on your favorite SFMTA committees.
