Beginning on Monday, November 14, 2022, the 48 Quintara/24th St route will have additional morning service using the SFMTA Employee Shuttle from approximately 7:15 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on school days only. The Employee Shuttle will continue to serve the Muni yards and Public Works yard on Cesar Chavez at all other times from 4:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., providing service for SFMTA and Public Works employees working in and around the Dogpatch area with early morning and late night service to and from 24th Street BART.
The SFMTA continues to offer early morning and late night shuttle service to and from 24th Street BART to employees who work at Woods, 700 Penn, MME, Marin, Islais Creek, Burke Warehouse and the Public Works Maintenance Yard. Starting Monday, November 14, 2022 the early morning and late night frequency will be every 20 mins (instead of 15 mins) and mid-day frequency is every 40 mins (instead of 30 mins). A number of Muni lines also serve our facilities, providing additional options to the shuttle. See below for more information.
On school days when the Employee Shuttle is operating as the 48 Quintara/24th St, there is no service and no Muni alternate options to the Public Works Yard on Cesar Chavez from 7:15 a.m. to 9 a.m., so please board the last shuttles departing 24th St BART at 6:40 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
Service Schedule
Shuttles will run during the following times:
- Early morning: 4:30 a.m. - 7:00 a.m. (20-minute service)
- Departs Transbay Terminal at approx. 4:38 a.m. (serves Woods, MME, Islais first)
- Departs Transbay Terminal at approx. 4:50 a.m. (serves Flynn, Potrero, Green first)
- Departs 24th Street BART at approx. 5:30 a.m., 5:50 a.m., 6:00 a.m., 6:10 a.m., 6:30 a.m., and 6:50 a.m.
- Late morning: 9:25 a.m. - 12:05 p.m. (20-minute service)
- Departs 22nd St at Iowa at 9:25 a.m., then every 20 mins.
- Departs 24th Street BART at 9:40am, then every 20 mins.
- Mid-day: 12:05 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. (40-minute service)
- Departs 22nd St at Iowa at 12:05 p.m., then every 40 mins.
- Evening: 4:45 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. (20-minute service)
- Departs 22nd St at Iowa. First trip at 4:45 p.m., last trip 11:25 p.m.
Midday return service to 24th Street BART can also be accessed via the outbound 48 Quintara/24th Street outbound (westbound)

Regular Muni Service
Line 15: Montgomery/Powell station to with stops at 20th for Woods, at Marin for MME, Islais/Marin yard, at Evans for the Burke Warehouse and nearby SF Water Department Facility near Jerrold. Operating Monday-Friday: 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Line 48: 24th St BART with stops at 700 Penn at Pennsylvania and 22nd and Woods at 22nd/Iowa. Operating: 24-hours a day, 7-days a week
Line 55: to 16th St BART with stops at 700 Penn at Pennsylvania and 22nd and Woods at 22nd/Iowa. Operating every day: 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Line T Third Muni Metro: to Sunnydale with stops along 3rd Street for MME, Islais/Marin yard, and at Evans for the Burke Warehouse. Operating Monday-Friday from 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., Saturday-Sunday from 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
