Walk Against Rape: April 6, 2019

The Walk Against Rape will take place in the Mission on Saturday, April 6, 2019. The march will begin at 12 noon and will mainly be on Mission Street between 16th and 24th streets. Muni will reroute several routes in the area during the march.

Street Closures

Streets will be closed from 12 noon to 2 p.m. as the march progresses. The march route is:

  • Start at 18th St & Guerrero,
  • East on 18th St,
  • North on Valencia,
  • East on 16th St,
  • South on Mission,
  • East on 24th St,
  • North on South Van Ness,
  • West on 23rd St,
  • North on Mission,
  • West on 18th Street to end at Guerrero.

Muni Reroute Summary

Some routes will switchback--changing from outbound to inbound--before they reach their terminal. Others will have a temporary layover. The information below lists all these changes by line or route. These changes start a different times; service will return to normal after the march clears.

Route 14 Mission Start 11:30 a.m. Service Change Reroute will be on South Van Ness between 14th and 26th streets.
Temporary stops at 16th, 20th and 24th streets.
Route 14R Mission Rapid Start 11:45 a.m. Service Change Reroute will be on South Van Ness between 14th and 26th streets.
Temporary stops at 16th, 20th and 24th streets.
Route 33 Ashbury/18th St Start 11:30 a.m. Service Change Reroute will be on Guerrero street between 16th and 18th streets.
Temporary stop at Guerrero & 16th Street.
Route 48 Quintara/24th St Start 1 p.m. Service Change Reroute will be on 25th Street between Valencia and Folsom.
Temporary stop at 25th Street & Mission.
Route 49 Van Ness/Mission Start 11:45 a.m. Service Change Reroute will be on South Van Ness between 14th and 26th streets.
Temporary stops at 16th, 20th and 24th streets.
Route 55 16th Street Start 11:45 a.m. Service Change Switchback will begin at South Van Ness.
Route 67 Bernal Heights Start 11:45 a.m. Service Change Switchback will begin at Cesar Chavez and continue on Valencia, 25th Street and Folsom.
Temporary layover at Cesar Chavez & Bartlett.

Note: The 22 Fillmore may experience delays as it crosses Mission Street.
