North Beach Utility Relocation
This week the contractor has continued to make progress on utility construction within the North Beach construction zone. Sewer and water work is planned to continue next week, with no major changes to traffic, transit and pedestrian impacts from this week's conditions (see details below).
As usual, our utility relocation crews will not be working in North Beach over the weekend, and all bus stops and lanes of traffic within the construction zone will be open. But with the Italian Heritage Parade, Fleet Week, the America's Cup and several other major events in town, the SFMTA will be hard at work. To prepare for an influx of visitors, Muni is increasing transit service on key routes. The events, projected to attract hundreds of thousands of attendees, are expected to significantly impact traffic throughout the city. To avoid delays, we remind residents and visitors to take Muni, a bike, a taxi or a walk when getting around San Francisco this week and weekend.

We appreciate your continued patience while construction is in progress.
