Stop by the Powell Streetscape Open House to learn more about the project. The Powell Streetscape Project proposes redesigning two blocks of Powell Street, between Ellis and Geary streets in Union Square. In addition to hosting the world-famous cable cars, tens of thousands of people walk this stretch of Powell every day, making it one of San Francisco’s busiest walking streets. The project will build on lessons learned from recent safety and Powell Promenade projects to develop a new street design that works better for cable cars and pedestrians, creating a safe, attractive, and inviting street for locals and visitors alike.
Our Meeting Round-Up feature highlights different SFMTA public meetings that will be held within the coming two weeks. These meetings give you the chance to share your ideas and provide us with helpful feedback. Join us at our next meeting to learn more about SF's changing and complex transportation system.
Those listed above are just a few highlights. You can find a full list of upcoming meetings to keep up to date on your favorite SFMTA committees.
