Van Ness Avenue Construction Forecast: January 7 - January 18, 2019

The following Van Ness Improvement Project construction forecast is subject to change. For more project details, please visit SFMTA.com/VanNess.

The night shift for construction is scheduled between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. During this time, neighbors are advised to anticipate construction-related noise and vibrations as crews work diligently to complete necessary night work.

Tentative schedule:

In the next two weeks crews are scheduled to work on sewer and water main installation, sidewalk replacement, installing a joint utility trench and street light conduits, and potholing for upcoming work.

Monday through Friday, January 7 through January 11

  • Lombard to Greenwich. Night work is scheduled Friday, January 11, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Disruptive noise is expected.
  • Greenwich to Filbert.  Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Filbert to Union. Night work is also scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Union to Green. Night work is also scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Green to VallejoNight work is also scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Vallejo to Broadway. Night work is also scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Broadway to Pacific. Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Washington to Clay. *Intensive noise and vibrations is expected
  • Clay to Sacramento
  • Sacramento to California. 
  • California to Pine.
  • Pine to Bush. (Thursday and Friday only)
  • Bush to Sutter. (Thursday and Friday only)
  • Sutter to Post. (Monday through Wednesday only)
  • Post to Geary. (Monday through Wednesday only)
  • Geary to O'Farrell. Note: Myrtle Street is scheduled to be closed for work Wednesday through Friday
  • O'Farrell to Ellis. (Tuesday through Thursday only)
  • Ellis to Eddy. (Tuesday through Thursday only)
  • Eddy to Turk. (Tuesday through Friday only)
  • Turk to Golden Gate. (Tuesday through Friday only)
  • McAllister to Grove. (Tuesday through Friday only)
  • Grove to Hayes. (Tuesday through Friday only)
  • Hayes to Fell.
  • Fell to Market.

Monday through Friday, January 14 through January 18

  • Washington to Clay. (Monday through Wednesday only)
  • Clay to Sacramento. (Monday through Wednesday only)
  • Sacramento to California. *Intensive noise and vibrations is expected
  • California to Pine. *Intensive noise and vibrations is expected
  • Bush to Sutter.
  • Geary to O'Farrell. Note: Myrtle Street is scheduled to be closed for work Monday and Tuesday
  • Ellis to Eddy.
  • Eddy to Turk. 
  • Turk to Golden Gate. (Monday and Tuesday only)
  • Golden Gate to McAllister. Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • McAllister to Grove. Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Hayes to Fell.
  • Fell to Market.
  • Market to Mission.
