The city’s Commuter Shuttle Program regulates employer-provided shuttles in San Francisco. The Program requires shuttle operators to follow sets of regulations in order to be allowed regular access to shared Muni pick-up zones and shuttle-only white zones.
Shuttle routes that depart from the authorized pick-up zones and white zones, or shuttle operations that do not follow existing traffic ordinances, or shuttle buses that lack current authorization decals, can lead to the issuance of Program violations by SFMTA parking control officers. If your shuttle company has been cited for a Shuttle Program violation and would like to protest the violation, contact the Hearing Section at hearingsgeneral@sfmta.com or call us at 415.646.2016. Hearings may be scheduled via video conference, by phone, by mail, or may be scheduled in-person by request.
