NBA All-Star 2025 Weekend Reroutes: February 14-16

Note: Some of the Muni Service Changes may go into effect early between Feb. 11 and 13.

Event Summary

Starting Friday, February 14, through Sunday, February 16, 2025, San Francisco will be hosting NBA All Star weekend featuring some of the NBA's biggest stars. All Star weekend culminates with the 74th Annual NBA All Star Game at the Chase Center on Sunday, February 16. Be sure to visit the City's NBA All-Star 2025 page for additional information.

Throughout the weekend thousands of basketball fans are expected to visit the city, especially in the Mission Bay area.

Note: Parking restrictions will be in place near event venues and other facilities. When parking, please check for signs within 100 feet of your parking space.

Free Muni

In support of the NBA All-Star 2025 events, the SFMTA will offer free MUNI Service, except Cable Cars, all day on Saturday, February 15th and Sunday, February 16, 2025. For more information, please visit the public notice.

Street Closures

There will be several street closures during All-Star Weekend, focused primarily in the areas around Moscone and Chase centers. Consult the information below to help plan your trips around the city. 

Moscone Center

The following streets will have closures from 6 a.m. Friday, February 14, to 9 p.m. Sunday, February 16:

  • Howard between Third (3rd) and Fourth (4th) streets
  • Third between Howard and Folsom
    • The westernmost lane ONLY
  • Fourth between Howard and Folsom
    • The easternmost lane ONLY
  • Folsom between 3rd and 4th
    • The northernmost travel lane and parking lane ONLY

From 6 a.m. Friday, February 14 to 12 p.m. (noon) Sunday, February 16:

  • Minna between New Montgomery and 3rd

Chase Center

The following streets will have closures from 6 a.m. Tuesday, February 4, to 11:59 p.m. Monday, February 17:

  • 16th between 3rd and Terry A. Francois Boulevard
  • Warriors Way between 3rd and Bridgeview Way

From 12:01 a.m. Friday, February 7 to 11:59 p.m. Monday, February 17:

  • Terry A. Francois Boulevard between 16th and Mission Bay Boulevard South
    • Southbound traffic lanes ONLY

From 8 a.m. Friday, February 14 until the conclusion of event, daily, Sunday, February 16:

  • Terry A. Francois Boulevard between 16th and Warriors Way

From 3 p.m. Friday, February 14 until the conclusion of event, daily, Sunday, February 16:

  • 3rd between 16th and Warriors Way
    • Northbound traffic lanes ONLY

From 2 p.m. Friday, February 14 until the conclusion of event, daily, Sunday, February 16:

  • Illinois between 16th and Mariposa

Pier 48 (South of Oracle Park)

From 6 a.m. Thursday, February 13, to 2 a.m. Monday, February 17:

  • Mission Rock between 3rd and Terry A. Francois Boulevard - local access maintained
  • Toni Stone Crossing between 3rd and Terry A. Francois Boulevard - local access maintained
  • Terry A. Francois Boulevard between Mission Rock and Toni Stone Crossing

Muni Service Changes

In order to accommodate the expected increase in ridership, Muni will run additional shuttle train service on the T Third Street Line between Chinatown-Rose Pak Station and Chase Center/Mission Bay.

The 15 Bayview Hunters Point Express, 22 Fillmore, and 78X 16th Street Arena Express routes will have reroutes in the Mission Bay area.
