Better, more frequent service coming April 23

This April 23 we’re rolling out our fourth round of service improvements in just over a year. City-wide, nearly 20 lines will get more frequent service, eight lines will see expanded service hours, two lines will make new connections to BART, and two new Owl routes are launching!

Increasing late night frequency from service every 30 minutes to every  20 minutes

10 Townsend

Increasing all day frequency from service every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes

12 Folsom

Increasing all day frequency from service every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes

28R 19th Ave Rapid

Increasing mid-day frequency from service every 12 minutes to every  10 minutes (now all day 10 minute service)

Increase commute frequency from service every 10 minutes to every 7.5 minutes

25 Treasure Island

Increasing All Nighter frequency from service every 45 minutes to every 30 minutes

New Owl Routes Launching!

Brand new Owl (All Nighter) service is proposed to launch for portions of the 44 O'Shaughnessy and the 48 Quintara-24th Street. Service will run every 30 minutes between the following destinations:

  • 44 Owl from Glen Park BART to the Bayview
  • 48 Owl from Noe Valley to 3rd Street

Please note service will technically begin at 1AM on April 24, 2016.

Expanding Service Hours

  • 28R 19th Ave Rapid – Monday through Friday Rapid service from 7AM to 7PM
  • Richmond Expresses – Service extended to 7PM on 1AX, 1BX, 31AX, 31BX
  • 30X Marina-Express—Service extended to 7pm, bigger buses on the line, plus stop consolidation along Chestnut Street to speed up the commute as part of the 30 Stockton Transit Priority Project
  • 57 Parkmerced – Weekday service to begin at 5AM
  • E Embarcadero – New weekday service from 10AM to 7PM
