These Friday hearings in front of a city traffic engineer and hearing officer cover traffic and parking changes that stem from public requests or larger agency initiatives. Some items on the agenda can be approved at the public hearing; others require final legislation by the SFMTA Board of Directors.

Dogpatch Parking Management Project Open Houses

The Dogpatch and surrounding area has been growing and changing rapidly, with big developments on the horizon. Because parking regulations have not caught up with the growth, daytime parking can be very scarce, leading to circling, congestion and frustration from residents, local businesses and visitors.

The Dogpatch Parking Management Project is an effort to better manage parking in the neighborhood.  At two community open houses, the SFMTA is seeking public feedback on draft parking management proposals developed by the SFMTA with input from a working group of community representatives. The draft proposals include a combination of permit parking, time-limited parking and paid parking on blocks where needed.

Please join us at one of two open house meetings:

Our Meeting Round-Up feature highlights different SFMTA public meetings that will be held within the coming two weeks. These meetings give you the chance to share your ideas and provide us with helpful feedback. Join us at our next meeting to learn more about SF's changing and complex transportation system.

Those listed above are just a few highlights. You can find a full list of upcoming meetings to keep up to date on your favorite SFMTA committees.
