Great Dickens Christmas Fair
Now through December 20 (weekends only)
Cow Palace
A local holiday tradition since 1970, the Great Dickens Christmas Fair transports visitors back to Ol’ London Town in all its Victorian-era glory by bringing the characters and writings of Charles Dickens to life. The fair will keep you entertained with performers in period costumes singing holiday favorites and reciting pieces of classic literature, the aroma of roasted chestnuts wafting through the air, appearances by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future, and more festive features.
The 8 Bayshore and 9 San Bruno Muni routes will take fair goers to the Cow Palace for all the holiday merriment.

Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m.
Davies Symphony Hall
Experience a cinematic masterpiece in a whole new way. It’s a Wonderful Life is regarded as one of the greatest films ever made and over the last generation has become a must-see staple of television’s holiday scheduling. This year, enjoy the movie like never before as the San Francisco Symphony will accompany two special screenings of Frank Capra's heartwarming classic with a live performance of the movie's score. And don't forget: “Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings.”
These routes and lines will get you to Davies Symphony Hall: the 21 Hayes, 47 Van Ness, 49 Mission/Van Ness, the Muni Metro Subway to Van Ness Station, or Market Street service including the F Market to Market and Van Ness.

Construction Reminders:
The Muni Metro subway continues to close early each night at 9:30pm for system upgrades. Metro bus shuttles will operate between St. Francis Circle and Market and Spears streets from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
“On Tap” gives you a heads up about the big events in town and what Muni routes and lines will get you to the party. Look for this feature to be posted usually on Wednesdays for a look ahead to the weekend.
