Введение к проекту (Project Introduction)

The SFMTA will be implementing bike lanes and continental crosswalks on Paul Avenue between San Bruno Avenue and Third Street in winter 2016-2017. The Paul Avenue Bike Lane Project will install new bike lanes between San Bruno Avenue and Third Street and install continental crosswalks at certain intersections. The project will include a curbside bike lane on the north side of the street which will accommodate people who ride bicycles in the westbound direction toward San Bruno Avenue. In order to accommodate this curbside bike lane, parking will be restricted along the north side of the street. The south side of the street will have also have a curbside bike lane, where parking is already restricted.

Project Goals

  • Improve the sense of safety for people who bike and walk
  • Provide an upgraded bicycle connection to the T-Third Street light rail line
  • Further implement the 2009 San Francisco Bike Plan

Parking/Curb Management

No parking will be permitted along the north side of the street resulting in the removal of approximately 38 parking spaces.

Community Engagement
