L Taraval Improvement Project Work Forecast April 19 to April 23, 2021

• L Bus Serves regular stops: As we are wrapping up the major infrastructure improvements on Taraval Street, the L bus is now serving the regular stops between Sunset Boulevard and 46th Avenue. These improvements include replacements of the rail, water and sewer lines as well as street repaving. 
   
• Streetscape and landscape work is taking place with minimum impact until this summer on Taravel:

• Installing cobbles on trackway is planned for:
  
  • April 19-28 between 46th and 48th avenues
     
• Installing crosswalk striping is planned for:
  
  • April 19-23 between 37th and 46th avenues
     
• Calking track pavement is planned for:
  
  • April 19-23 between 48th Avenue and Sunset Boulevard
     
• Installing paving stones and plants inside planters at boarding islands and accessible platforms is planned for:
  
  • April 19-23 between 40th and 43rd avenues
     
• Painting overhead wire poles is planned for
  
  • April 19-28 and beyond along Taraval Street

Excavation requires jackhammering of the pavement. Dust control measures will be in place to prevent dust kick up from the work.

• Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m.; Saturday to Sunday 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m. Hours subject to change based on construction needs. 

Some parking will be temporarily restricted in construction zones and traffic lanes will be modified during active work.

Since the Muni Metro service is being suspended due to COVID-19 pandemic, the L bus has been serving the L Taraval Line with occasional reroutes between Sunset Boulevard and 46th Avenue to accommodate construction work. Once rail service resumes, transit service on the L Taraval will remain throughout with a combination of buses and trains.
