The Beach Street Quick-Build Project is up for consideration of approval at the December 17, 2024 SFMTA Board of Directors meeting.
A public hearing will be held at the SFMTA Board of Directors meeting on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 1:00 pm to consider proposed pedestrian safety and bike connection improvements on Beach Street, as part of the Beach Street Quick-Build Project.

Construction Begins on Pedestrian Treatments on Beach Street between Jones Street and The Embarcadero
Construction crews will be out on Beach Street this week to install light-touch pedestrian safety treatments on Beach Street between Jones Street and The Embarcadero. These improvements do not require board approval and include upgraded crosswalks, advance limit lines and daylighting. There will be no parking and loading changes as part of this phase of construction.
Construction for the rest of the project is anticipated for Spring 2025 pending approvals heard at the SFMTA Board of Directors meeting noted above.
