Here’s the next edition of the 19th Avenue/M-Ocean View project newsletter, for your reading pleasure.
We Heard You: Outreach Summary Now Available
Thank you again to those who attended our public meetings in February. We heard thoughtful feedback from residents and stakeholders at each of the meetings. If you were not able to attend the meetings, materials and information boards from the meetings are all available on the Project Website.
The outreach summary is now available on the Project Website. This document summarizes our outreach efforts, feedback received at all four public meetings, stakeholders’ concerns and questions, comments written by meeting attendees on the comment wall, and results from the meeting questionnaire. If you notice that comments you made at the meetings are not reflected in the summary or not accurately reflected, let us know and we will correct it.
Approaching a Major Technical Milestone with Caltrans
We’re close to finishing a major technical deliverable of this phase – the Caltrans Project Study Report-Project Development Support package. The Draft Final document is under Caltrans review and we hope to have their sign-off by early May 2016. This will allow us to advance to the environmental review and preliminary design phase.
Moving SF Blog
The 19th Avenue/M-Ocean View Project was recently featured on SFMTA’s blog, Moving SF. SFMTA Public Relations Officer Mark DeAnda recaps the project’s ability to address subway crowding downtown, and even gives a sneak peek at new names for the project that the team is brainstorming. Check it out here https://www.sfmta.com/about-sfmta/blog/subway-sfsu-our-plan-take-m-line-down-under
What’s Next?
As we work to wind down this phase, we will be entering a quieter period. We will be working to initiate the environmental phase which entails finalizing our funding strategy and procuring consulting services.
As always, please don't hesitate to contact us with questions or to invite us to present at your next organization meeting.
Sincerely,
Kelley McCoy, Public Relations Officer
