Super Bowl tips — seems like everyone's got some. Today, we bring you a rundown of some of the most useful for both residents and visitors.

"Events" "FAQ" "What To Do" and "Updates." Titles flank San Francisco Bay Area Host Committee seal and are above an image of a football field with a gold "50" and a "Super Bowl 50" logo football.

The city's Super Bowl 50 web page is a helpful resource for San Francisco Super Bowl fun.

The top tips are the safety and security reminders from our friends at the San Francisco Police Department and the Department of Emergency Management. At today's public safety press conference for the Super Bowl, the SFMTA stood with our city partners to highlight the public's role in helping to make next week's events safe and fun.

  • If you are parking a car (hopefully not near the event areas), park smart — take all of your belongings with you.
  • If you see something, say something. Call 9-1-1. Notify a police officer if there is one nearby. Also call 9-1-1 to receive help for emergencies, or potential emergencies.
  • Register for emergency text alerts by texting ‘AlertSF’ to 888-777.
  • Know before you go.  Bags with a maximum size of 18” by 18” are permitted in Super Bowl City.  A list of prohibited items can found at http://www.sfbaysuperbowl.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/SBCity_Screening-Process.pdf.
  • No drone zone: Call 9-1-1 or notify law enforcement or security personnel if you see a drone or someone operating a drone.
  • Purchase transit tickets from official kiosks only.  Avoid the lines and download MuniMobile Android/iPhone app ahead of time for all single and multi-day Muni, bus, rail and cable car tickets. Visit www.sfmta.com/munimobile
