L Taraval Improvement Project Work Forecast Dec. 16 - 27, 2019

Neighborhoods Affected

Work Forecast Plan for the Weeks of December 16 to December 27, 2019.

 

Details of Work Performed:
  • Continuation of sewer main replacement is planned for the weeks of December 16-20 and December 23-27 between 44th - 43rd Avenue and 40th - 37th Avenue.
  • Water line work is planned for the week of December 16-20 between 43rd and 41st Avenue.
What to Expect:

Excavation requires jackhammering of the pavement. Dust control measures will be in place to prevent dust kick up from the work.

Heavy vibrations from the shoring and sheet piling work is expected for the entire duration of sewer main replacement.

Water line work is not expected to interrupt or shut off water service. 
Location and Time of Work:
  • Northside of Taraval Street between 44th – 41st Avenue and 40th - 37th Avenue
  • Monday to Friday, 7:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.
  • No work on December 25, 2019
Traffic Impacts: Some parking will be temporarily restricted in construction zones and traffic lanes will be modified in the northbound lane during active work. 
Muni Customer Impacts: From now and continuing through Friday, December 27, 2019, outbound L Taraval stops at 40th Avenue and 42nd Avenue are temporarily discontinued Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Muni riders should is alternative stop at 41st Avenue and Taraval during the listed hours on weekdays.

The following two-week construction forecast is subject to change due to weather delays or unexpected field conditions.
