Based on community feedback, we now have newly detailed K Ingleside Rapid Project proposals to share. After the Ocean Avenue Mobility Action Plan launched in late 2021 at the request of District 7 Supervisor Myrna Melgar, this project was reviewed through several rounds of outreach and ultimately supported by the community task force to advance.
“The K Ingleside Rapid Project will improve the train’s speed, reliability and capacity – and make Ocean Avenue safer for everyone. I’ve asked the SFMTA to work on it, and I’m excited for it to deliver transit that better connects us to Ocean Avenue and across the city.” – District 7 Supervisor Myrna Melgar
Learn more about the refined proposals and share your feedback:
-
The proposal background shares information on what we’ve heard in prior outreach and how the project would affect parking and loading.
-
The detailed proposal drawings display how each intersection would look with these improvements.
Once you’ve viewed the proposals, share your feedback in the project survey in English, Spanish, or Chinese by Monday, August 14.
You can also view these designs and share feedback in person at our self-guided open house through August 7 at the Ingleside Branch Library (1298 Ocean Avenue). Materials are available in English, Spanish, and Chinese.
Or join us at an on-street pop-up on Thursday, July 27 (4:00-6:00 p.m.) at Ocean and Capitol avenues or Wednesday, August 2 (8:00-10:00a.m.) at Ocean and Aston avenues - both will have Cantonese interpretation and materials available.
