Weekend K L M Bus Substitutions: June 8-10, 2018

For the weekend of June 9-10, 2018, Church, Castro, Forest Hill and West Portal stations will be closed to prepare for construction of the Twin Peaks Tunnel Improvements Project. Closures will be begin late Friday evening and end early Monday morning. To allow this vital work to take place, buses will run in place of K, L and M lines and the L Owl will be rerouted in the West Portal area.

Bus Substitutions

  • From 11 p.m., Friday, June 8 through 1 a.m., Monday, June 11
  • There will be bus substitutions between individual terminals and The Embarcadero for K, L and M lines. Buses will serve all stops.
  • Church, Castro, Forest Hill and West Portal metro stations will be closed.
  • During tunnel closure, there will be NO trains for K Ingleside, L Taraval or M Ocean View lines running in Muni Metro.

    West Portal Inbound: Board at Ulloa & West Portal Ave (near Squat & Gobble)
    Outbound: Board at West Poral Ave & Ulloa (near Burrito Loco)

    Note

    During the Sikh Parade on Sunday, June 10, K L M Shuttles will be temporarily rerouted onto Mission in the downtown area.

    Looking Ahead

    Starting Monday, June 25, 2018, Forest Hill and West Portal stations will be closed for two months for major maintenance work on the Twin Peaks Tunnel. For more information about this closure and the project, visit the Twin Peaks Tunnel Improvements Project page.
