Muni Service Changes This Saturday

Our latest round of Muni Forward service changes will include:

  • Stop removals on the L Taraval Line
  • More frequent service on the 8AX Bayshore Express, 25 Treasure Island and 29 Sunset
  • Moving the 28R 19th Avenue Rapid Route’s southern terminal to Geneva and San Jose avenues
  • More 60-foot trolley buses on the 5 Fulton and 5R Fulton Rapid routes

Treasure Island Flea

Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Treasure Island

Hunt for treasures on Treasure Island at this month’s Treasure Island Flea. This weekend’s incarnation of the monthly “Festival of the Bay” will celebrate Mardi Gras with themed arts and crafts, New Orleans-inspired menus and drinks, plus performances from local street musicians.

How to Get There on Muni: Muni’s 25 Treasure Island Route provides service to and from Treasure Island.

Muni service note: The 25 Treasure Island may see minor delays due to an increase in ridership.

Presidio Visitor Center Grand Opening Celebration

Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.


The Presidio

Register now for a community day to celebrate the free Grand Opening of the New Presidio Visitor Center. Be the among the first to discover the center’s many exhibits, videos and interactive tools while also enjoying a full schedule of live music, dancing, history walks and more.

How to Get There on Muni:  Take the 43 Masonic Route to the Presidio Transit Center.

Muni service note: There are no planned service adjustments for this event.

Van Ness Construction Reminder

All left turn lanes on Van Ness Avenue have been removed with the exceptions of those at Broadway (southbound), Lombard Street (northbound) and temporarily at Hayes Street (northbound).

Van Ness traffic lanes have been reduced from three to two on these segments:

  • Northbound from Post to Filbert Street
  • Southbound from Filbert to Washington Street

Temporary J Church and K Ingleside Service Changes Reminder

Due to Balboa Park Station Area and Plaza Improvement construction work, there are now temporary stop changes in effect for the J Church and K Ingleside lines at Balboa Park Station. These stop changes will be in place through the end of February. For details, please read our September 1 blog post.
