The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), which manages transportation in the city, including the Municipal Railway (Muni), informs customers that all service, including cable cars, are returning to their regular routes this morning.
Muni service availability has steadily improved over the past few days, and is expected to provide approximately 90 percent of this morning's service based on pre-service data. Muni operated at 54 percent, 61 percent, and 80 percent of total service on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, this week respectively.
All routes and lines, including the cable car lines and the F Market & Wharves historic streetcar line, will operate following their regular routes.
BART is still accepting customers with a valid Muni proof of payment between Daly City and Embarcadero stations. Muni customers are advised to go to the BART Station Agent gate to request entrance to the BART system rather than tagging their Clipper card.
Customers should continue to monitor media news outlets and real-time Muni updates for information about service. For real-time Muni updates during the week, 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., follow us on www.twitter.com/sfmta_muni or sign up for e-mail or text alerts at www.sfmta.com.
