The forecast is calling for a return of rain, but there will still be fun to be had in the city this weeked. There will be a community parade, food, music, and fun for the whole family in the Mission and Visitacion Valley areas. Read about these featured events below.

Ruth Jackson Family Day and Parade
Saturday, 11 am to 5 pm
Visitacion Valley
Now in its 20th year, the Visitacion Valley Family Day at Hertz Playground provides community members a chance to gather for a fantastic day of fun and entertainment that will feature a parade, car show, performances, a raffle, and plenty of activities to keep the kids busy.
The parade will start at Velasco Avenue and Santos Street proceeding along Santos onto Sunnydale Avenue culminating on Hahn Street at Visitacion Avenue.
How to Get There on Muni: The 8 Bayshore, 9 San Bruno and 56 Rutland routes will get you close to the festivities.
Muni Service Note: The 8, 9 and 56 routes will have re-routes. Due to street closures and heavier than usual pedestrian activity, some delays may be possible in the area.
Sunday Streets: Mission District
Sunday, 11:00 am to 4 pm
Valenica Street in the Mission
The 2018 season of Sunday Streets kicks off along Valencia Street in the Mission this Sunday morning at 11:00 AM. Celebrate 10 years of car-free fun around the city when Valencia is closed off to vehicle traffic between Duboce Avenue to 26th Street, creating an open community space with food, drink, local shopping and more for all ages to enjoy.
How to Get There on Muni: Let public transit take you close to the fun by utilizing the 12 Folsom/Pacific, 14 Mission/14R Mission Rapid, 22 Fillmore, 27 Bryant, 33 Ashbury/18th Street, 48 Quintara/24th Street, 49 Van Ness/Mission, 55 16th Street or 67 Bernal Heights routes.
Muni Service Note: The 12, 27, and 55 routes will have re-routes. Due to street closures and heavier than usual pedestrian traffic, some minor delays and crowding may be possible in the area of the event.
