Events: This weekend is a little less action-packed than last weekend, but there are still plenty of fun events happening around town. The Richmond District hosts its third annual August Moon Festival on Clement Street between Sixth and Ninth avenues this Saturday. Also on Saturday, a new event, the Korean Chuseok Harvest Festival, makes its debut at the Presidio. Finally, on Sunday, Comedy Day in the Park returns to Golden Gate Park to tickle funny bones of all ages and the third annual Fiesta de las Americas takes place along 24th Street in the Mission. Chuseok Harvest Festival
Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Presidio
A celebration showcasing and promoting Korean culture, cuisine and arts, the first annual Chuseok Harvest Festival will take place this Saturday at the Civil War Parade Grounds in the Presidio. The event will feature numerous performers, dozens of varied activities, a wide selection of foods from local food trucks and restaurants and much more.
How to Get There on Muni: The 43 Masonic Route is the most direct Muni route to the event.
Muni Service Notes: There are no planned service changes for this event.
Festival of the Americas
Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Mission
La Fiesta de Las Americas celebrates the independence of various Latin American countries as well as the unique culture, arts and music that can be from Patagonia all the way to the Arctic Circle. It highlights the unique Latino diaspora experience which has cemented the Latino Cultural District as the center of Latino activism, arts, commerce, and culture in San Francisco since the 1940’s. The event will feature live performances, wrestling matches, and much more family friendly fun.
How to Get There on Muni: Riders may take the 12 Folsom/Pacific, 14 Mission, 14R Mission Rapid, 27 Bryant, 48 Quintara/24th Street, 49 Van Ness/Mission or the 67 Bernal Heights routes to the area of the event.
Muni Service Notes: The 48 will have reroutes in the area of the event and all routes may experience some minor delays and increased ridership.
