Tomorrow’s Board of Directors meeting will include a presentation and public hearing on the agency’s 2017-2018 budget. This public hearing will cover possible changes to fees, fares, and fines, while considering other ways to invest in the operating and capital budgets. Find details on the preliminary budget calendar and proposals in the budget presentation (.pdf).

Rescheduled from the March 1 meeting, the 30 Stockton Transit Priority Project will also be covered.

Our Board of Directors meetings are usually held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. The agendas are posted under “meetings” on the Board’s web page 72 hours in advance of the meeting. All regular meetings can be viewed on The City channel 78 or online at the SFGovTV2.

Van Ness Business Advisory Committee Meeting: 3 p.m., Thursday, March 17

The Van Ness Business Advisory Committee is made up of representatives from a cross-section of Van Ness Project Corridor businesses. Join the committee and project staff this Thursday for a presentation from the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development’s Invest in Neighborhoods program about business resources and technical assistance. Staff will also provide general project updates. The full agenda can be reviewed here.

The San Bruno Ave Multimodal Improvement Project aims to make the street safer for people walking and biking, increase the reliability of Muni, and improve parking availability in the neighborhood. The first half-hour will include a presentation in Cantonese about the project’s updated proposals. Until noon, staff will host an open house to provide updates and listen to feedback.

SFMTA Fiscal Year 2017 and 2018 Budget Public Meetings

Next week, the SFMTA will host a webinar and two open houses, in addition to other regularly schedule hearings, on the upcoming Fiscal Year 2017 and 2018 Capital and Operating Budget for the agency.  

During the webinar and open houses, SFMTA staff will present a preliminary budget plan based on the revenues and resources we expect to have, as well as proposed changes on aspects like fares, fees, and spending for transportation improvements.
