Springtime in the city usually means that weekends are brimming with activities, events and even more reasons to be out and about. This week things kick off as Giants baseball returns to AT&T Park followed by a Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon on Sunday.

Battle of the Bay – Giants vs A’s

Thursday and Friday, 7:15 p.m.

AT&T Park

Hope springs eternal and, with the official start of the season a little more than a week away, baseball expectations are high for the upcoming season especially in San Francisco where fans hope the Giants can bring home another even-year World Series championship, their fourth in the last seven seasons.

Gearing up for the 162 game season, the Giants wind down their spring campaign with a pair of night games, tomorrow and Friday, against cross-bay rivals the Oakland A’s. With Bay Area bragging rights on the line, which team will take that momentum into Opening Day?

Whether you’re rooting for the Giants or the A’s, enthusiastic fans can take Muni to AT&T Park including the N Judah, T Third, 10 Townsend, 30 Stockton, 45 Union/Stockton, and 47 Van Ness. Yesterday's Moving SF post lays out the full count of transportation options to catch the action.

Muni service note: In addition to the regular transit service, Muni Metro will provide addition ballpark shuttle trains to assist fans with both pre- and post- game service. Patrons should expect minor service delays near the ballpark due to heavier pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
