L Taraval Improvement Project Work Forecast April 26 to May 7, 2021

• L Bus serves regular stops: As we are wrapping up the major infrastructure improvements on Taraval Street, the L bus is now serving the regular stops between Sunset Boulevard and 46th Avenue. These improvements include replacements of the rail, water and sewer lines as well as street repaving.
   
• Streetscape and landscape work is taking place with minimum impact until this summer on Taravel:
   
• Installing cobbles on trackway is planned for:
  
  • April 26-May 7 between 46th and 48th avenues
     
• Installing paving stones and plants inside planters at boarding islands and accessible platforms is planned for:
  
  • April 26-27 along Taraval Street
     
• Painting overhead wire poles and applying anti-graffiti coating is planned for
  
  • April 26-May 7 along Taraval Street on sidewalks
     
• Cleaning up and reducing the staging area on Lower Great Highway
  
  • April 26-May 7 northbound lane between Santiago and Ulloa streets

• Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m.; Saturday to Sunday 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m. Hours subject to change based on construction needs. 

Some parking may be temporarily restricted in construction zones and traffic lanes may be modified during active work.

Since the Muni Metro service is being suspended due to COVID-19 pandemic, the L bus has been serving the L Taraval Line with occasional reroutes between Sunset Boulevard and 46th Avenue to accommodate construction work. Once rail service resumes, transit service on the L Taraval will remain throughout with a combination of buses and trains.
