The Dogpatch and surrounding area has been growing and changing rapidly, with big developments on the horizon. Because parking regulations have not caught up with the growth, daytime parking can be very scarce, leading to circling, congestion and frustration from residents, local businesses and visitors.
The Dogpatch Parking Management Project is an effort to better manage parking in the neighborhood.
At two community open houses, the SFMTA is seeking public feedback on draft parking management proposals developed by the SFMTA with input from a working group of community representatives. The draft proposals include a combination of permit parking, time-limited parking and paid parking on blocks where needed.
