Policy, Process & Practice Improvement is the unit within the Office of Racial Equity & Belonging (OREB) that conducts research, change management processes and strategic planning to implement agency equity goals. The Policy, Process & Practice Improvement team manages collaborative projects focused on the integration of equity standards into all areas of decision-making and operations. This section manages the comprehensive monitoring, evaluation and refinement of SFMTA policies, practices and processes to understand and mitigate disparities, internally and externally.
Policy, Process & Practice Improvement leads reporting, data analysis and process logistics across all OREB sections, including in collaboration with the Equitable Workforce & Workplace, Equitable Services & Systems, and Equitable Communications. Policy, Process & Practice Improvement is organized in three sections:
