Van Ness Avenue Construction Forecast: February 11 - February 22, 2019

The following Van Ness Improvement Project construction forecast is subject to change. For more project details, please visit SFMTA.com/VanNess.

All night work is italicized below. The night shift for construction is scheduled between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. During this time, neighbors are advised to anticipate construction-related noise and vibrations as crews work diligently to complete necessary night work.

Tentative schedule:

In the next two weeks crews are scheduled to work on sewer and water main installation, sidewalk replacement, installing a joint utility trench and street light conduits, and potholing for upcoming work.

Monday through Friday, February 11 through February 15

  • North Point to Bay. Night work is scheduled Monday through Wednesday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Bay to Francisco. Night work is scheduled Thursday and Friday, February 14 and 15, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Francisco to Chestnut. Night work is scheduled Thursday and Friday, February 14 and 15, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Chestnut to Lombard. Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Lombard to Greenwich. Night work is also scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Greenwich to Filbert. Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Filbert to Union. Night work is also scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Union to Green. Night work is also scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Green to Vallejo.
  • Vallejo to Broadway. (Friday only)
  • Broadway to Pacific. (Friday only)
  • Pacific to Jackson. (Friday only)
  • Jackson to Washington. (Monday and Tuesday only)
  • Washington to Clay.
  • Clay to Sacramento. (Wednesday through Friday only)
  • Bush to Sutter. Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. *Intensive noise and vibration is expected.
  • Sutter to Post. Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. *Intensive noise and vibration is expected.
  • Post to Geary. Night work is scheduled Wednesday, February 13, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Geary to O'Farrell. Night work is also scheduled Monday and Tuesday, February 11 and 12, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • O'Farrell to Ellis. Night work is scheduled Monday and Tuesday, February 11 and 12, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Ellis to Eddy. (Wednesday through Friday only)
  • McAllister to Grove. Night work is scheduled Thursday and Friday, February 14 and 15, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Grove to Hayes. Night work is scheduled Thursday and Friday, February 14 and 15, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Fell to Market. Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. *Intensive noise and vibration is expected.
  • Market to Mission.

Tuesday through Friday, February 19 through February 22

  • Bay to Francisco. Night work is scheduled Tuesday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Francisco to Chestnut. Night work is scheduled Tuesday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Lombard to Greenwich. Night work is scheduled Tuesday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Greenwich to Filbert. Night work is also scheduled Tuesday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Filbert to Union. (Monday only) Night work is also scheduled Tuesday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Union to Green. (Monday only) Night work is also scheduled Tuesday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Green to Vallejo.
