Construction for the UCSF Mission Bay Platform Upgrade project will replace the track at the intersection of 16th & 3rd streets. During this construction, the intersection will be partially closed and Muni will reroute the 55. On March 20, the construction will return to Phase D. Read below for more details.
Street Closure
Starting at 12 noon on Saturday, March 9 through Tuesday, March 19, the intersection at 16th St & 3rd St will be closed in the east-west directions. For people driving, use Mississippi and Mariposa or 4th St and Mission Bay South to access 3rd St.
Muni Reroute
Starting Saturday, March 9 through Tuesday, March 19, Muni will reroute the 55 16th Street. From 16th St & 4th St, the reroute is: Left on 4th St, Right on Mission Bay Blvd South, Right on 3rd St, Continue through the construction site, Right on 16th St to the regular route.
