Ten-Day Bus Substitution for Cable Car Lines on Powell and Mason Starting May 2, 2019

In support of the Cable Car Gearbox Rehabilitation Project, the Powell/Mason Cable Car will be temporarily substituted by a shuttle bus and the Powell/Hyde Cable Car will switchback--changing direction from inbound to outbound--at Washington & Powell.

From downtown, the first bus stop is at Ellis & Powell. From North Beach, the first stop is at Taylor & Francisco.

Transfer between the Powell/Hyde line and the Powell/Mason at Washington & Powell.

Note

The Powell/Mason bus will charge regular bus fare and the Powell/Hyde Cable Car line will charge regular Cable Car fares. Visit the Fares page for information on payment options.
