Event Summary
The San Francisco Giant Race will take place along the waterfront and finish on the field at Oracle Park. Streets will be closed and Muni will reroute around the race. Read below for more information.
Street Closures
From 11 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, to 1 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 18, the following streets will be closed to traffic:
- Third Street between King & Channel streets
- King Street between Third and Townsend streets
From 4 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, these streets will be closed to all traffic:
- The Embarcadero between Townsend and Jefferson streets
- Jefferson Street between The Embarcadero and Jones
- Jones Street between Jefferson and Beach
- Beach Street between Jones and The Embarcadero
Muni Reroutes
There will be Muni reroutes of buses and streetcars in the area of the race. See the table below for full details.
