Decreasing fares

18-year-olds will now pay a discount fare instead of an adult fare.

If you are 18 and carrying an adult Clipper® card — one that never had your age recorded in it for the youth discount:

  • Be sure to exchange it for a youth Clipper card.
  • Do not use your adult Clipper card to pay your fare; you will be charged the full adult fare.
  • While waiting for your youth Clipper card to be issued, you can pay the MuniMobile discount fare ($1.00) or cash/Limited Use Card discount fare ($1.25).

Fares staying the same on Jan. 1, 2017
