Event Summary
Due to expected street closures, all cable car service will be temporarily provided by buses on Tuesday, July 2. Additionally, the 1 California will have a minor outbound reroute from 6:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m. Please continue reading below for more information.
Street Closures
The following streets will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.:
- Powell between California and Sacramento
- California between Powell & Mason
- Sacramento between Powell & Taylor
- Taylor between California and Clay
Muni Service Changes
The Powell/Mason and Powell/Hyde cable car lines will be partially served by buses, with the cable cars only operating north of Washington Street. The California Cable Car line will have a full bus substitution during the times detailed in the table below. There will also be an outbound reroute on the 1 California.
