Event Summary
On Monday, January 20, 2025, the Northern California Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Foundation is hosting a march honoring Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The march is expected to draw 4-5,000 people. The march begins at 11:00 from Caltrain’s 4th and King Station. The march will continue through Mission Bay and conclude at Yerba Buena Gardens at Howard & 3rd with a celebration and other planned events.
Fares
This year on MLK Day, Muni will not have paper tickets, only digital tickets. The MLK commemorative tickets will be valid for use on Muni bus & rail service, except Cable Cars on Monday, January 20, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Riders must show proof of payment.
Muni Service Changes
The 8 Bayshore, 15 Bayview Hunters Point Express, and 45 Union/Stockton will reroute between approximately 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Consult the table below to reroute details, missed stops and alternate stop locations.
Notes:
- Muni service will operate on a Saturday Schedule on Monday, January 20, due to the holiday.
- The N Judah and T Third Street lines may see minor delays in the vicinity of Third and Fourth streets.
- The 12 Folsom/Pacific and 30 Stockton may see minor delays in the area of the march route.
