On Wednesday, October 21 and Friday, October 23 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Lower Great Highway between Taraval and Santiago Street will be temporarily closed for vehicular access and restricted from parking. The street will be reopened for vehicular traffic and parking when the work is complete.

On Tuesday, October 20 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., the southside of Taraval Street between Sunset Boulevard and 38th Avenue, including the intersection of 37th Avenue, will be temporarily closed for vehicular access traveling eastbound. Signage will be in place to alert drivers to detour before they approach the intersection. Local access will be provided when possible.

For track replacement work, traffic will be detoured at the intersections of 38th, 39th, 40th, 44th, and 45th Avenue at all times of the day until track replacement work along these segments are complete. During active construction hours, parking on both sides of the blocks will be temporarily restricted to give the crew the safety clearance they need to demo and replace the aged tracks in the center of the road and allow eastbound/westbound vehicular traffic. Parking will be returned at the end of each work day along the impacted blocks.

The following two-week construction forecast is subject to change due to weather delays or unexpected field conditions.
