Event Summary

Juneteenth is an annual event marking the abolition of slavery in the United States. A joint celebration of Juneteenth and Father's Day will be held at Gilman Park on Sunday, June 18, requiring street closures and a minor reroute of the 29 Sunset Route. 

Street Closures

The following streets will be closed to traffic from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Gilman Avenue between Hawes Street and Bill Walsh Way
  • Bill Walsh Way between Gilman Avenue and Ingerson Avenue
  • Ingerson Avenue between Bill Walsh Way and Griffith Street.

Muni Reroute

The 29 Sunset will have a minor reroute in the area of Gilman Park. See the table below for full details.
