Golden Gate Half Marathon: Sunday, November 3, 2024

Note: This alert also includes 19 Polk reroute information during the event setup on Saturday, November 2.

Event Summary

The Golden Gate Half Marathon will begin in Fort Mason, closing streets and rerouting Muni service in the early morning. Read below for more information.

Street Closures

Setup & Take Down

The streets will be closed from Saturday, 5 a.m. to Sunday, 5 p.m. for setup and takedown of the finish line:

  • Beach, west of Hyde
    • Local access allowed for Williams Sonoma
  • Larkin between Beach and the Impark Parking lot entrance

Race Route

On Sunday, the race begins at 7 a.m. Street closures in the Marina will take place from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Beginning at Van Ness and Beach, the race will go south on Van Ness, west on Bay, north on Laguna, west on Marina to Crissy Field, The Presidio and the Golden Gate Bridge, reversing back on same route except for at Laguna and Beach, where runners will proceed through Fort Mason.

Muni Service Changes

Muni will reroute the 19, 28, 30 and 49 starting at 5 a.m. Service will return to normal after the streets are clear.
