Overnight Monday, December 19, the roadway will be narrowed from three to two traffic lanes in each direction along Van Ness Avenue between Jackson and Greenwich streets for construction in the median. As work progresses, the lane closures will expand north and south.
Monday, December 19, through Thursday, December 22, between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m, construction crews will remove the Overhead Contact System that powers the electric buses on Van Ness Avenue between Market and McAllister streets.
Tuesday, December 20, through Friday, December 30, construction crews will begin removing the existing median, including median trees, between Pacific and Filbert streets.
Tuesday, December 27, through Friday, December 30, between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., construction crews will remove the Overheard Contact System that powers the electric buses on Van Ness Avenue between Union and Filbert streets.
Those who travel in and through the area are advised to take alternate routes and plan for delays.
