Bus Bridge Transfers During Muni Subway Closures

This alert contains information about tranferring between surface trains and bus bridge shuttles during the Muni Subway Closures for New Train Tests. For more information about the new trains, visit the New Muni Trains Project page.

The Muni Metro Subway will be closed between Montgomery and West Portal stations weeknights from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. and all hours on weekends. There will be surface train service outside of the Muni Metro Subway and bus shuttles will run between Embarcadero Station and Saint Francis Circle. Read below for information on transferring between train and bus bridge service during subway closures. Please plan extra travel time when taking Muni during subway closures.

Note: For certain events, Muni will temporary pause testing to maintain service levels.

  • For weeknight Giants games, Muni will operate outbound trains from the ballpark for approximately 90 minutes after the game. For more information on taking Muni to see the Giants, please visit our AT&T Park Destination page.
  • For the weekend of August 11-13, 2017, Muni will operate on a normal schedule for the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival, the Pistahan Parade and Lady Gaga at AT&T Park.

Transferring Between Surface Trains and Bus Bridge Shuttles

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

During subway closure, Muni Metro will still operate on the surface streets. Read below for more information on transferring between train and shuttle.

Note: On weekends, there will be an additional shuttle providing service between Embarcadero Station and Church & Duboce for customers transferring to or from the N Judah or J Church lines.

Note: Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Accessible indicates the transfer location for people traveling with wheelchairs, scooters, strollers, or other wheeled devices/mobility aids.

Bus Bridge to/From Saint Francis Circle

This information applies to shuttles operating between Embarcadero Station and Saint Francis Circle. It will operate weeknights and weekends.

Note: All inbound shuttles will be identified as J-L-M-N-T to EMBARCADERO.

Note: On weeknights, the outbound Saint Francis Circle shuttle will be identified as J-K-L-M-N. On weekends, it will be K-L-M to WEST PORTAL.

Note: All inbound shuttles will be identified as J-L-M-N-T to EMBARCADERO.
