Event Summary

Weekend events for the U.S. Navy Fleet Week begin Friday with a Parade of Ships at 11 a.m. and an Air Show on Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Ships will be docked at various piers and are available for visits from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Muni will provide extra service along the northern and eastern waterfront. The F Market & Wharves historic streetcars will switchback at Pier 39. Read below for more detailed information.

Muni Reroutes

On Saturday and Sunday, the F Market & Wharves historic streetcars will switchback --changing directions from inbound to outbound--at Pier 39.

On Saturday and Sunday, Powell/Mason Cable Car Line will have partial bus substitution service.

On Saturday, Powell/Hyde Cable Car Line will have partial bus substitution service.

Additional buses will provide service along a shortened route with a temporary terminal on Van Ness & North Point in the inbound direction and to Daly City BART in the outbound direction

Powell/Mason Cable Car

On Saturday:
Regular cable car service will operate from 6 a.m. to approximately 12 noon. 

Beginning at 12 p.m., buses will provide Powell/Mason Line service

On Sunday:
Regular cable car service from 6 to 11 a.m. 

Beginning at 11 a.m., buses will be routed onto the Powell/Hyde Line.

From 4 to 7 p.m., buses will resume service on the Powell/Mason Line.

From 7 p.m. to the end of service, Powell/Mason cable cars will resume service.

Other Muni Changes

The 28 19th Avenue, 30 Stockton and 49 Van Ness/Mission may experience delays near the Van Ness terminal.
