The following Van Ness Improvement Project construction forecast is subject to change. For more project details, please visit SFMTA.com/VanNess.

All night work is italicized below. The night shift for construction is scheduled between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. During this time, neighbors are advised to anticipate construction-related noise and vibrations as crews work diligently to complete necessary night work.

Tentative schedule:

In the next two weeks crews are scheduled to work on sewer and water main installation, sidewalk replacement, installing a joint utility trench and street light conduits, and potholing for upcoming work.

Monday through Friday, March 11 through March 15

  • Lombard to Greenwich. Night work is also scheduled Monday only between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Greenwich to Filbert. Night work is also scheduled Monday only between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Filbert to Union. (Monday and Tuesday only.) Night work is also scheduled Monday only between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Union to Green. (Monday and Tuesday only.) Night work is also scheduled Monday only between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Green to Vallejo. (Monday and Tuesday only.) Night work is also scheduled Monday only between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Vallejo to Broadway. Night work is also scheduled Monday only between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Broadway to Pacific. Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Pacific to Jackson. Night work is scheduled Thursday and Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Washington to Clay. Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Clay to Sacramento. Night work is scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Sacramento to California. *Intensive noise and vibration expected during the day. Night work is also scheduled Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • California to Pine. *Intensive noise and vibration expected during the day. Night work is also scheduled Monday, March 11 and Tuesday, March 12, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Sutter to Post. Night work is scheduled Thursday and Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Post to Geary. Night work is scheduled Thursday and Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Geary to O'Farrell. Night work is scheduled Thursday and Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • O'Farrell to Ellis. Night work is also scheduled Thursday and Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Ellis to Eddy. Night work is also scheduled Thursday and Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Eddy to Turk. Night work is also scheduled Thursday and Friday, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
